The ICD 10 classification was created by the World Health Organization (WHO). It belongs to the family of international health-related classifications. In outpatient and inpatient care, diagnoses have been coded according to ICD 10 in SGB V since January 1, 2000. Since January 1, 2004, an adaptation of ICD 10 has been called ICD-10-GM (German Modification).
With the help of the ICD 10 diagnosis code, doctors and dentists can code the diagnoses of the patients to be treated – e.g. on certificates of incapacity for work. Patients have little chance of recognizing the exact meaning of a diagnosis behind the number combinations. Here you have the opportunity to view the coded diagnoses in plain text.
