Cancer is an immense physical and psychological challenge for those affected. In addition to the often stressful treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery, many patients struggle with side effects that severely restrict their quality of life.

FPZ Cancer Therapy is for patients in various stages of cancer. The program combines equipment-based strength training with targeted movement therapy and education. FPZ Cancer Therapy integrates the best of digital therapy and on-site care to create a comprehensive and personalized treatment option.

Frequently asked questions

In FPZ Cancer Therapy, you will receive individualized exercise therapy advice, support and care on site as well as online therapy over several weeks.

FPZ Cancer Therapy is divided into two groups:
Group 1 is intended for insured persons with planned or ongoing tumor therapy and starts from the time of diagnosis.
Group 2 is intended for insured persons for whom tumor therapy has already been completed in the past 24 months.

The individual therapy program for group 1 consists of a maximum of 40 therapy units and that of group 2 of a maximum of 24 therapy units. These take place twice a week.

In addition to the face-to-face appointments, you will carry out exercises from home at two taping sessions per week. These exercises and the included information for insured persons on the topics of exercise, nutrition, sleep and regeneration are available to you for 12 months.

  1. You need a doctor’s prescription: A medical examination ensures that FPZ Cancer Therapy is suitable for you from a medical point of view. You can choose between a consultation with an FPZ online doctor, a visit to your local doctor or an FPZ contract doctor.   2. Start of therapy with your individually developed training plan.

Yes, you have to pay a contribution of 5.00 euros per therapy unit at the FPZ therapy center. All other costs for the therapy will be covered by your health insurance.

FPZ, based in Cologne, has been in existence since 1993 and relies on scientific therapy programs with its nationwide experts from medicine and physiotherapy and on online training courses on pain and behavioral change as well as completely digital therapy programs.
