Assisted Living
Assisted living is becoming increasingly popular. The apartments are designed for accessibility and offer special amenities such as emergency call systems or meals on wheels. In addition, a care service is usually affiliated.
24/7 Care
If you or a family member would like round-the-clock care in your home, there are providers that arrange for foreign caregivers or care services. These providers are generally not licensed as care service providers and can only be subsidized through care allowances.
Multi-generation House
Multi-generation houses are open to everyone – regardless of age. People of different age groups live together under one roof here. The special thing is the interaction between the generations and the mutual support of young and old.
Shared Houses and Flats (WG) for Seniors
Another option is shared housing arrangements for seniors. Similar to a student shared apartment, each resident has their own room with their own furniture. The living room, bathroom, and kitchen are shared. The residents help one another, and a so-called on-site caregiver provides support with daily living. The spectrum ranges from completely independent shared living arrangements to dementia care groups supported by an outpatient nursing service.
It is important to note that:
- At least three and a maximum of twelve people live in a shared flat.
- At least three residents are classified in a care degree.
- There is a so-called presence force that is commissioned jointly by the shared flat. It organizes, supervises and supports the household – regardless of nursing care.
Benefit from Long-Term Care Insurance
- We subsidize living in a senior shared flat with a monthly lump sum of 224 euros, for example for a caregiver who is present on site.
- We provide start-up funding of 2,613 euros per resident for the establishment of an age-appropriate and barrier-free shared flat – a maximum of 10,452 euros per shared flat. A shared flat includes at least three people.
