During a consultation visit, you will receive a regular home visit from a qualified nurse. The aim is to strengthen home care and support the caregiver. You and your caregiver will receive individual advice with tips and information to make your care and support at home easier.
Procedure
The consultation visit will take place either at your home or, if you prefer, conveniently via video. It is helpful if the caregiver is present during the consultation. The initial consultation at the start of care always takes place at your home. After that, every second consultation can take place via video. This regulation is currently valid until March 31, 2027.
Intervals
- For people in need of care with care level 2 or 3: once per half-year
- For people in need of care with care level 4 or 5: once per quarter
People in need of care with care level 1 or people in need of care from care level 2 who are additionally cared for by a care service can voluntarily seek advice once per half-year.
Providers
The consultation visit is carried out by outpatient care services, social service centers or recognized counseling centers. You or your caregiver arrange an appointment directly with the provider. We will cover the costs for you.
Our tip: It’s best to schedule an appointment as early as possible—and feel free to schedule your next one right away. That way, you can be sure to meet the deadlines and benefit from regular consultations. To find a suitable provider, feel free to use the BKK Care Finder.
