- Care is provided in an approved nursing home.
Amount
We contribute to the costs of residential care. Depending on the care level, the following maximum monthly entitlement for care-related costs applies.

Additionally, we cover a supplement to your care-related personal contribution, including the training levy, which increases with the duration of inpatient care.

This personal contribution is independent of your care level. This means: Even if your care level increases, your costs remain constant.
Important to know: Only this care-related personal contribution is subsidized. You bear the costs for your accommodation and meals, as well as the investment costs, yourself.
Application
The prerequisite is that you submit an application for the determination of care dependency and inform us that you wish to receive care in a nursing home or switch your previous benefit to nursing home care.

Inpatient Care in Facilities for People with Disabilities
An entitlement to benefits from long-term care insurance also exists for individuals with care levels 2 to 5 in facilities that focus on participation in working life and community life, school education, or the upbringing of people with disabilities. We cover 15% of the residential care fee agreed with the social welfare provider, up to a maximum of €278 per month.
Under certain conditions, there is also an entitlement to care allowance, for example, during stays at home, on weekends, or during holidays.
