Supplementary rehabilitation benefits are benefits that are not provided as part of traditional medical treatment, such as medical treatment, the provision of remedies and aids as well as preventive and rehabilitation services.

Note: To enable our insured persons to start rehabilitation sport or functional training quickly, BKK W&F waives the approval requirement. You can therefore submit the doctor’s prescription directly to the provider and the costs will be settled with the BKK W&F.

Frequently asked questions

The primary fields of action for supplementary rehabilitation services include rehabilitation sport, functional training and patient training for the chronically ill and their relatives. These services are intended to supplement the medical treatment of chronically ill people or to positively influence their rehabilitation. The focus here is on strengthening the patient’s personal responsibility.

If, in the opinion of the treating doctor, additional rehabilitation services are medically necessary, these are covered by the statutory health insurance funds on the basis of a prescription.
