Travel costs

Frequently asked questions
There are a few exceptions for trips to dialysis / oncological radiotherapy or chemotherapy as well as for severely disabled persons with the mark “aG”, “BL” or “H” and insured persons in care grades 4 or 5.
If you have been classified in care level 3 and have also been given the handicap mark (G) on your severely disabled person’s pass, this also counts as a permanent mobility restriction.
Corresponding trips are prescribed by the doctor. Prior approval by the BKK W&F is not required in these cases.
The BKK W&F covers the travel and transport costs for inpatient services, e.g. hospital treatment and for ambulance trips to the hospital. Our customers’ contribution is 10 percent of the travel costs, but at least 5 euros and a maximum of 10 euros per trip. This co-payment does not apply to travel costs incurred as a result of medical rehabilitation.
