BKK WIRTSCHAFT & FINANZEN (BKK W&F) was founded on October 1, 1999, and has been a statutory health insurance provider open to everyone in many federal states* since January 1, 2007.
Our employees ensure the health coverage of more than 28,000 insured persons from all over Germany. Its headquarters are located in Melsungen, North Hesse. In neighboring Kassel, BKK W&F also has a similarly large branch.

* Note: Individuals who reside in Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, or Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the time they apply for membership and do not work in another federal state are not eligible to become members of BKK W&F. This is based on Section 173(2)(4) of the Fifth Social Code. According to this provision, even after they have been opened to the general public, company health insurance funds may only be selected in those federal states in which the former sponsoring company maintains a dependent business establishment. With regard to the federal states mentioned, this is not the case for BKK W&F (formerly BKK KPMG until December 31, 2006). Subsequent relocation of one’s place of residence or work to one of these federal states has no effect on membership. Membership remains in effect and is not associated with any disadvantages regarding benefits.
